Colourless

By Rhian

By R PPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

I should be jealous,

The green aura coats me well,

But no, I'm loveless,

All colours I reflect fail.

Over time they lost their hold,

Left this body to be admired,

I didn't long to be seen anymore,

My motions too have retired.

Transparent and gone,

Even Wallflowers mark walls,

The sun no longer warms,

by pouring its yellows through these halls.

Ghosts glow in white,

Water eventually turns blue,

Yellow specks up at night,

Green leaves turn maroon.

I believe one day,

I might show off a slight hue,

But right now, I'm Colourless,

Stranded with the thoughts of you.
