Colour is pride: True colours
My poem about uniqueness in colour: To my brother and all our brothers and sisters out there

I am a spectrum of all colours, of life
The red of my anger, my passionate rage for the injustices in the world, those belittled, restricted, betrayed.
I am the blue of my strife, my down days, letting it consume me like a tidal wave, then flow over me letting it wash off the grey.
I am the green of the wild, the nature that surrounds, strengthening me, it’s beauty profound. Connection to all things, vibrating as one, this ecosystem we are all under one sun.
I am the purple of neutrality, the calm before the storm and the dusk wake after it’s done. The one who holds and cherishes all who surrounds, and stands with them for together we are proud.
I am the yellow of the sunshine and fun, better days that are yet to come, of festivals and holding hands, staring out to the horizon, feet in sand.
I am the orange of warmth, the fire that Burns, embers flickering up to the sky that glow and yearns, for freedom, a passion that can’t be put out for we are fire and we will shout.
We are the colours of pride, stronger each day, marching into the night. We will not be silenced, forever we fight, for truth and justice and acceptance too. I’m proud to stand by you as you face me, our beauty in our truth.
