Colour and Autism, one in the same.

Colour is a spectrum,
much like autism.
Colours describe me.
All of me.
Happiness is yellow,
happiness is the sun after the storm.
Happiness is feeling mellow.
Meltdowns are red,
filled with rage and no control.
Meltdowns are the feeling of dread.
Sadness is blue,
overwhelmed by emotions.
Sadness is not knowing what to do.
Sensory overload is green,
feeling envious of those who are normal.
Sensory overload is a scream.
Stimming is purple,
relief from overstimulation and emotions
Stimming the feeling of being immortal.
Shut down is pink
the feeling of nothing.
Shut down is being so numb you can’t think.
Colour is a spectrum,
much like autism.
Colour is a spectrum,
much like me.
