After the pride parade has marched
The cheerful crowds dissipated and a makeup wipe clears off the last traces of vibrant visible paint from my face.
I stare into the mirror, and I look, I really look.
I see me.
I take a long hard look at me
I can still see the Rainbow.
You over analyze me..I overthink me, a splash of colors on canvas.
Color Me Blue, every day I tried but couldn’t tell you.
Color Me Yellow, The Day I acccepted she who’s more like me is what I wanted.
And that as a man, I was more attracted to that fellow.
I accepted me, but will you?…
Color them Green, their faces in disgust at who I’ve been.
Color me Pink, my face flustered and hot, explaining me..to them.
Color me Orange, between enraged and complacent, I don’t know I’ll ever be good enough for you.
Color me Purple, your harsh words bruised my soul and wounded my belief in me.
Color us Red, you say to you I’m dead, but I no longer care, I’m forging ahead.
I have to be true to me.
Days pass, months go by I watch the colors change on the trees, the sky.
In the passing Rainbow of time I’ve met someone.
Sparks Fly.
A cool splash of water on my canvas
The colors that I allowed to define me so deeply now drip down and away leaving a clean slate.
Color me Blue under the night sky as I kiss you.
Stars in my eyes.
Color me Yellow, as the setting Sun shines through the window onto our bed. I love looking at your face, hello..
Color them Green, with envy over our relationship and everything it’s been.We live the dream.
Color Me pink, my cheeks flush when I hear you say my name, direct your affections at me.
Hmm, Color me Pink?.. a little spanking never hurt anyone.
Color me Orange, like a creamsicle and devour me
Color me Purple, as I bask in the passion, compassion and Euphoria that I invited into my life by being true to me.
Color me Red, there’s a Fire inside me it burns deep and true, it burns for life, for love, for me for you.
Every now and then water splashes and I watch my masterpiece as the colors meld together and drip away, that’s expected.
I’m not the same boring old painting forever, I’m versatile, evolving ever changing.
Color me happy. Color me anything I choose to be. Color me the Rainbow.
