Outlaw
Always wanted to be like Jesse James, taking the horse by the reins. Each day a new course in it for better or worse. Guns on my hip, giving the law the slip. Midnight runs through the countryside sounds fun. Stealing from the rich, giving to the poor your pockets never being sore. Always looking for the next score.

When I Was a Kid
The web that was worldwide, was a way we unified, with all those who were close, and allowed us to talk to them most. Social media, became this encyclopedia, where we could post, and would be judged on the most number of likes, followers or views, and this would be the fuse, to ignite out ego, and dress us up in a narcissistic tuxedo.

Cultural Gentrification
Cultural Gentrification Step 1. Evaporation—our cultures are gettin lost in evaporation. Went from segregation to Replication. You see, they want us to live in separation, then bring us together, take what they like, then back to isolation. Then, they rewrite the history of our nation, removing the all facts from the basin.

A Poem for Dark Skin Girls
A Poem for Dark Skinned Girls. I espressoed your skin and licoriced your hair. I dug my fingers into the depths of the Atlantic Ocean to mold you with a bit of Egyptian gold. I smeared honey on your thighs, brushed cinnamon on your check bones and sprawled you in front of the sun until you were the color of the midnight sky. I named you “north”, “alpha”, “queen” and “big mama.” Charged with birthing the earth and holding up half the sky; you make humanity a possibility.
