Collateral Damage

Time swirls around me…past, future.

Thoughts ricochet around my head like machine gun fire as I am swept into the vortex.

Faces appear in the mists

Memories assail me daily

So many directions…

So many dead ends…

Casualties of me…

Bodies litter my mental landscape like discarded toy soldiers; the devastation scenery for vultures.

So many choices…

So many consequences…

Collateral damage…

Words collide with excuses adrift in my intellectual chaos… Reality slaps me in the face.

So many years…

So many lies…

Casualties of you…
