I am a woman

lost in the

endless mazes

of social media,

unable to free myself

from the grasp

of the never-ending

nothingness

that hides behind

the 1s and 0s

the vast space;

the darkness that

entangles every corner

of the internet,

and envelops the very

ends of the world

I am but lost

in this black hole,

I feel as though

I've been here before

I've seen the patterns

The ancient signs,

the numbers,

the ever-growing changes;

I see it all happening in real time

and sometimes it seems really hard

to wrap my mind around

what's going on

the ever growing expansiveness

of nothing, of empty,

but not empty;

the internet, full of stories,

full of social media,

full of apps, full of games,

full of gossip, full of news,

full of "news", full of excitement,

full of money, full of fame,

full of popularity, full of blame,

full of pride and full of shame,

full of everything but

the most important part

of the code, the code of life;

and that part, is love.
