Coat Of Many Colours
I like to think I wear a coat
that reflects a kaleidoscope of colours.
Each to fit every aspect of myself,
from day to day.
Reds and purples for vivid thoughts,
memories of green and subtle gold.
No black or white just bright orange,
floating around my head.
Carried on a sea of aqua and azure,
emotions washed clean in indigo.
Mixed with violet and blue rivers,
resting on emerald hilltops.
My being is a prism that shines,
waves of coloured light abound.
My coat of many colours is vibrant,
My essence is of every hue.
For the future I hope a rainbow,
that marks the spot that I leave.
Full of the promise of tomorrow,
in the newness of life.
