Closet Confusion

I have been lookin’

with some dismay

of what I will find

when confusion sets in

and will sway

in my mind

always wonderin'

what to say

to leave it behind

to be out or be in

this is no way

for any of our kind

to begin

to not have a say

with no rewind

that is comin'

for any today

in all humankind

with many past sins

that will not go away

or even unwind

it is time to dig in

before decay

makes us blind

it is time for growin'

& not to replay

or even remind
