Close, But Worlds Apart
Two islands sharing the same dream.

We sit in silence, oceans wide,
Yet side by side, with words denied.
Our glances meet but drift away,
Lost sailors in a common bay.
Once, our laughter filled the space,
Now shadows dance where light erased.
Fingers brush but lack the spark,
Two souls adrift in growing dark.
Yet in the quiet, something stays,
A tether formed of worn-out days.
We navigate, though far we seem,
Two islands sharing the same dream.
