Clockwork
Every little detail
Wrapped in loosened twine.
Unravels slowly,
Day by day,
Chasing after time.
Every little fabric
Finds fast its perfect thread,
Courting colors,
Hour by hour,
Beautiful blues and reds.
Every little stitch
Holding on so tight,
Calling forth,
Second by second,
The beautiful things in life.
Every little tap
Of time ticking away,
Reminding us
The clock works best
When set to weave the day.
