Climbing Out

Breaking Cycles, Building Futures

By VPublished 2 months ago 1 min read

Starting with nothing, the climb feels steep,

Nights are heavy, and food isn't cheap.

But a mind can shift, a thought can grow,

The path gets clearer the more you know.

First comes the change inside the head,

A choice to rise, not sink instead.

Systems press down, but steps exist,

Small moves stack up, resist, persist.

Search the corners where resources hide,

Banks, programs, and shelters provide.

Clinics for health, schools for skill,

Doors may be closed, but knock until.

Learning reshapes the life you live,

Trade a small skill for more to give.

A job may start with pay that's small,

But bricks stack higher to build it all.

Budget right, let numbers guide,

Track each dollar, cut out pride.

Multiplying money becomes a seed,

That grows with knowledge to meet many needs.

Networks matter, so seek a hand,

Mentors show paths, they understand.

Every story of someone who won,

Began with the weight of being undone.

Work experience sharpens the blade,

Each shift endured, a foundation laid.

From resume lines to lessons learned,

Every hour is value earned.

Set clear goals, both small and wide,

Celebrate wins, let them provide.

Each milestone hit, no matter how slow,

Is proof of the ground you've come to know.

Opportunities bloom in places unseen,

Freelance work, or gigs in between.

Even a vision, a business idea,

Can turn the cycle, bring freedom near.

Still, setbacks strike and plans may bend,

But broken paths can find an end.

Resilience builds with every scar,

Adaptability carries you far.

No story begins with riches at hand,

It's forged through action, by taking a stand

The system may bind, but steps create,

A life redesigned through action, not fate.
