Claudia

who loves without a life jacket

Claudia

She doesn’t just fall in love—

she dives,

headfirst,

as if she’s sure

there’s water down there.

She’d rather bruise

from the impact

than stand on the edge

wondering

what if.

She loves love

like it’s oxygen—

not always fresh,

not always clean,

but vital.

And even when it doesn’t go her way,

she keeps breathing it in,

again

and again.

She speaks like a match strike—

quick, bright,

sometimes burning

before you see it coming.

But never without heat,

never without meaning.

She leaps to conclusions

like skipping stones—

some bounce,

some sink,

but she throws with her whole heart.

And when the night stretches long

and the drinks take hold,

she laughs louder,

lives louder,

tells stories

you’re not sure you’re supposed to hear—

but you’re glad you did.

She is a firework—

a little chaotic,

a little unpredictable,

but unforgettable

in the way she lights up

the dark.
