When we were born, the world was tough,

We were desperate, prophets came.

Rulers and saviours who knew,

They said, how to protect us - from life.

We lived according to the law,

And the law made us sick and miserable,

It made us hate our days and one another,

But at least we knew what to do.

They told us our souls would be pure,

And we paid tithes and believed.

Because to make our own choice,

And to face the pain of what we’ve done,

Would’ve broken our minds.

So we dug deeper and deeper

Not to hear anymore the heart,

Forget it was ever able to move

With joy and not bleed and hurt.

Then we assumed that’s what was

Part of our nature and we lost hope,

Fools.
