City Lights

A night drive to Sierra

By Dr.CeeVeePublished 3 years ago 1 min read

Have you traveled past midnight

In a racing car to the top of a hill ?

Up the winding roads onto the Sierra

Into a Vista of mesmerizing sky!

To see the black canvas where the

golden spots twinkled along with

a crescent and a convoy of stars,

Into the never ending horizons!

The cooling breeze of a summer night

The fresh fragrance of a night flower

And the infinite array of sparkles saying

The millions of dreams that's awake

City lights fascinated the little girl in me

A girl wanting to fly up above the sky

To fly as long as possible with wings

Of hope and aspirations of a life dreamt !

A fervid shadow of a fellow being

Quickened me from my dreams

Reminding me of the day that follows

Miles to walk before I can spread my wings !
