City Life

The City

By Michelle Thomas Published 3 years ago 1 min read

The city I’ve lived in all my life

There is a love/hate relationship

At times I just want to move far away

Somewhere quiet with limited people

Somewhere I can be free and be me

Then I realize I will miss the city

So many people so many places to see

Makes you feel alive at times

A daily reminder that I live where most

People dream of visiting

I am thankful I was born into this city

Sometimes I wonder how it would have

Been if I was born in a small town of

Population 500

Even though I’m not a people person

I am happy to be surrounded by the

Many different cultures and people

Never a dull moment to meet someone new
