"Church Hurt" - An Intro

The church hurts because the church is hurting

And I’m just conveying a message that’ll pull back the curtains

Churches have been standing on stage toxic for too long

So one could say people healing from the ones who’ve done them wrong

Grew up in ministry so my story is a little different

From those who think if you hit on this topic you’re a back slidden Christian

Who’s sinning and you want revenge

But I reflect the marvel of His love so I know my God avenges

People ask me how I do it when betrayed by those who said they loved me, it hits different when it’s your own Judas

A congregation, from the pastor they were influenced

Spoke up on the darkness that was causing them to have their illusions

Excommunicated

Talking to me he forbade it

Still thankful for the ones who made it

Clear that they knew the truth

Ain’t got nothing to lose

I share my story because I know it’ll help others who

Haven’t shared what they’ve been going through

Broken, walking around with scars and all their bruises

Feeling like life you can’t do this

Went to the church but they didn’t help you through it
