Sitting under the Christmas tree,

Watching the twinkling lights.

My heart sings beautiful melodies,

Of times gone by.

I feel the warmth of your heart

In every twinkling light.

I hear your voice singing to me

Telling me I'm alright.

Every teardrop falls on the lights,

And sparkles like frost and ice.

I see your face in those tears,

But it slowly fades, just like those lights.

I need to feel you, hold you, love you;

But you are no longer here to help

me through the night.

So, as the season starts its

Merry Christmas cheer;

Spare a thought for me,

As I hold on to memories so dear.
