Christmas Poem

Oh Christmas lights,

Shine down on me,

With your multicolored glow,

As I gaze upon the tree,

A beautiful evergreen,

With no holes or brown leaves,

Standing tall and straight,

In our family room,

For everyone to see and adore,

Decorated top to bottom with ornaments,

Ornaments bought this year,

And ones kept from years past,

Attempting to distract little ones,

From the mass of presents,

Gathered underneath all the green leaves,

Waiting for the day,

When they would be opened and loved,

Which will be soon,

But not yet,

So until then,

I will continue to bask,

In the glow,

Of Christmas lights.

Such a cozy vibe! The Christmas lights and tree really set the mood, with all the memories tucked in the ornaments. Love how you capture that festive anticipation! Just the right amount of holiday magic.

I have always preferred multi colored lights to the regular whites, what are Christmas lights for if not to bask in them right? Love the poem, can't wait to see more.
