❄️

Bubblegum and sweet goodbyes

Christmas wrap and stars

Calendars and sparrows fly

From when to where we are

Baseball cards and carousels

Late nights together wrapping gifts

Greeting cards and wishing wells

Waiting up for ol’ Saint Nick

Homemade pies and casseroles

Reindeer and happy wishes

Letters addressed to the North Pole

Seconds served on grandma’s dishes

Traditions and new memories

Lovingly cared and longed for

Adding to the tapestries

With carolers at the door

So many things setting the scene

Making the spirits bright

Remembering what Christmas means

On such a special night

So, won’t you leave the light on for me

Keep that hope burning inside

My hearts a gift under the tree

Waiting for you to hold me tight

Our lives are worth the celebrating

Year by year I’ll meet you here

Gathering together is amazing

Filling our lives with cheer
