Choose Alpha and Omega Unity
It’s the one that wants you

That mind of yours
met me chest-deep in memories
pulled up a chair
and reached maximum integration
in seconds
Exercised patience
followed by well-disciplined restraint
before you questioned
Did not even blink
when I said
Thanks
but no thanks
Gave space
Respectful like that
Warrior King not weakling
Successful like that
Received a tentative offer of friendship
Let it breathe
stretch
settle
seed
A natural union
while destinies wreathe
combined paths of separate purpose
into breath-giving artistry
absent road maps
and now here come you
ecstasy-giddy
after two weeks in Curaçao
stone-stunned
over first positive pregnancy test
Two years later
in awe at second
Starshine brimming over love’s re-emergence
Laughed to tears
when they were twins
Caressed my tired to restoration
Laid your calm
across the cleft of my back and
prayed
for inexhaustible communion
then
with a quiet reverence
exhaled
refined soul

Author’s Note:-
Perhaps commitment isn’t in the definition, but in reality a comprehensive way of living that spills outside the confines of what we individually think it is. From this perspective, it can be seen as more seamless and easy, less compartmentalized and arduous. There is the ‘union faithfulness’ of man and woman, but also community with nature, humanity and cosmos etc., etc.
What if where we struggle in one arena is a smaller fragment of a 360 degree view enshrined in Universal Law that holds no concept of division?
Essentially, we cannot successfully have commitment with each other, if we don’t have that same dedication level with the plants and animals, the earth, or the (fill in the blank too numerous to contain everything that could go in it.)
Just a few thoughts while pulling strands of this poem together…

This poem was like a lovely dance. I smiled when he was found not weak in your eyes. There’s a certain thing us women look for and I am happy you found that. What a lovely surprised that it was twins. Love your description of it being as like love’s re-emergence. You swept us away with your love and respect for that man and took us to heavens gate with your way with words in rhythm. I like that you stayed with the poem as you wrote your authors note. I do agree. We cannot commit to anyone, unless we nurture the same dedication to plants animals and all things in nature. ♥️🤗
Excellent.
Maybe humans approach life with pre-thought expectations and not allow it to flow as it should. Very deep words to the universe.
"Essentially, we cannot successfully have commitment with each other, if we don’t have that same dedication level with the plants and animals, the earth, or the (fill in the blank too numerous to contain everything that could go in it.)" You raise a very good point here. Very profound and thought provoking. Loved your poem!
