Choices
We all have to make them, Don’t we?

If we knew
How things turned out
In the end,
If we could just see
The outcomes from our choices,
We can make our decisions
So much more confidently.
But that’s the thing
About decisions though,
Isn’t it?
In the real world,
You’ll never have
The 100% complete information
For you to make
The right decision.
Because in the absence
Of the certain knowledge
Of the outcome,
The information you have
Will always be incomplete.
Sure, you can infer probabilities
And look at past history
To forecast outcomes.
But the outcomes
Are still unpredictable.
What do you do then?
You know you have to
Make a decision.
You can’t tarry forever.
But you can tarry
For a bit.
It’s okay to tarry for a bit
Till a good decision
Presents itself.
One that feels right to you
With every ounce
Of your being.
Maybe until then
You just have to keep going
With other aspects of your life
And wait on this one.
Waiting doesn’t seem to sit well
With the person who has decided
To be active in life.
The clock is ticking you know.
But sometimes,
It’s in the waiting
That the best decisions
Present themselves.
