Chocolate Swirl

… melting into self.

A warm chocolate swirl melting into self;

folding ripples, seeking resolution.

A self-absorbed fondant, sculptured relief,

holding form of shapeless constitution.

A freely flowing liquid of polished velvet

calling for a creamy distribution.

A stirred splodge of custard, smooth and wet,

sprawling pleasures make their contribution:

a tempting treat of pure bliss;

a sugar-sweet solution;

a chocolate heart,

a chocolate kiss:

a lover's institution.

... A soft-centred lover, indulgent to the core,

... A sugar-coated message, too delicious to ignore.

About the Creator

Tim Grace

A first impression has a lasting effect - it makes a notable difference. In a subtle way that’s who I am as a poet. A ‘first impression’ looking for the gentle ‘twist’ that draws attention to a novel observation.
