A child should always be your dream made flesh and blood
If they aren't your dream then maybe they shouldn't be
because they deserve the world, the moon, and stars.
They are the greatest creation and man's greatest gift
They are the future materialized before us
a fervent prayer realized and given promise
the promise to make things better, to make things brighter
to do things that have never been done before and feel things with more intensity than can be imagined.
They have the ability to make dragons real as well as monsters
And they have the ability to slay them if only we give them their swords.
They are our true fate and should we forget that all is lost.

Thoughts on Vocal and the way the world is
"Death cannot stop true love, only delay it." – Wesley in The Princess Bride. I decided to come back to Vocal on a very cold and dark night at the end of December. I had been, and still am, convalescing from a horrible staph infection that had gone misdiagnosed for months. This, paired with the increasing challenges of being healthy, making the best choices for my co-parented child, being a wife, and being a director at a new job, was a lot to manage.
