Children don't see colour?

Then why do they look up and ask why the sky is blue?

Why do they notice day and night and investigate that too?

Why do they pick favourites out of a spectrum of hues?

Are those things not colours too?

Why are they drawn towards the rainbow but not the concrete ground?

How do they know the seasons which transition all year round?

Why do they pick their crayons once they take a look around?

Children see colour.

They see them everyday.

They explore them and adore them,

In many many ways.

Black and White,

They know them too,

But they don't treat Black the same.

Black remains a mystery,

Black remains unpleasant,

Black remains a tragedy,

A recipe for malice.

They don't know Black History,

Black Culture or Black Magic,

Engulfed by White Supremacy,

White Jealousy and panic.
