Memories

I remember the days of youthful glee,

Under the shade of our old oak tree.

A playground of dreams, a world of our own,

Innocence and laughter, seeds of love sown.

In the backyard, where adventures unfurled,

We danced in the rain, a magical world.

Muddy footprints marked the path we'd tread,

Imagination our compass, no limits to dread.

Climbing that tree, reaching for the sky,

We touched the clouds, oh, how time did fly.

Innocent whispers in the moonlit night,

Secrets shared beneath the pale starlight.

Beneath the summer sun, a lemonade stand,

With sticky hands and dreams so grand.

Counting coins, learning lessons so dear,

Friendship blossomed year after year.

With scraped knees and skinned palms,

We faced the world's small and big storms.

Yet, our hearts were strong, our spirits so bold,

In a world of adventures, forever we'd hold.

Now those memories, like treasures, I keep,

In the corners of my heart, forever to seep.

A childhood in the past, but in my soul, alive,

Those moments of magic, I'll forever revive.

Oh, the sweet days of youth, how they've flown,

But in my heart, those memories are eternally known.
