Childhood Memories
Childhood Memories Expressed by Poetry.
Through the eyes of our innocent childhood
You were always there, no excuses, no sadness
Just pure blissful delightful precense.
Bittersweet adolescent and unforgiving adulthood
You were all still there.
Honesty used as a shield to cover reality
Yet doesn't mean you lied but, merely hide the truth.
No families perfect, indeed. yet, it was all for the love to shape a mind.
I lied to to say I am alright
I lied to say I ate
I lied to assure you and hide of what I have become
Cause the gaps you try to fill grew as I did
Became monsters and shadows that now I battle every day.
To say it out loud it like to conceive defeat.
Yet, not a single day I forget all of the good deeds that you did. Surely I downright in debt.
Thank you for the childhood I'll never forget.
