Chiaroscuro
Where darkness meets the light
Show me the shadows deep within your heart,
The scars that map out who you used to be.
Why hide the darkness I've seen from the start
When your demons dance with mine perfectly?
Say you're dangerous, someone I should fear,
A soul better alone in the cold night.
Call me blind, letting my love linger here
Where your sharp edges stab and sting and bite -
But my hands won't bleed holding you with care;
I've nothing to fear with your hand in mine.
I see the good behind the mask you wear -
Even the sun casts shadows with its shine.
The darkest nights gift us the brightest stars -
Such duality makes us who we are.

Congratulations on your win! 🎉🎉 I love the closing lines.
Wooohooooo congratulations on your win! 🎉💖🎊🎉💖🎊
🎉🎉🎉This one really makes me feel like I am about to enter into a love contract where I am playing with fire. But I love how vulnerable it was. How sacrificial, almost. 'A soul better alone in the cold night' love this line. It is relatable and blends so well with the rhythm I am just now catching on to. Love the ending. Despite the sweet sweet naivety that stood above it. The ending shows how to love a whole, instead of someone's half. Outstanding, congratulations on your win, Phar 🎉🎉🎉🤗❤️🖤
