Why’d you spend another-night in someone else’s dream,

don’t you see, it’s all a waste of time?

Begging off someone else’s plate,

exchanging sanity for illusive - one time rhymes.

*

You joke to get the green light,

laughing at things, not humorous.

So you let them off the hook you set

Confrontations, so delirious.

*

What’s wrong with being lonely - baby?

Change is a challenge you can win.

The empty ache is only make believe -

let the memories dissipate and end.

*

Grasp the chance to get away.

Run - without looking back.

Each step you take, a time machine.

From all the things you lack.
