Cheap

Excerpt from my book “The Infringed Twin”

By CadmaPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

I wish I could say it's unrequited love For it's still a deeper form of rejection With such easy replacement.

The pangs in my chest

The bangs to my head

A shattered being at best Useless and never beautiful From within to without

Kicked off high ground

The crackling sound

That rings inside my head

To hear a simple weak truth That leaves faulty clues

Is what undoes the glue

In the mirror I sit

And stare

Value, empty

Beauty, never existed Cheaper by the gams

Tossed

Ugly

Useless

It's all I can afford to be

In his eyes especially Replaced so easily Effortlessly

I guess what I gave was cheap
