Chasing Shadows at Dusk

Poem.

By Danny Prem kumarPublished about a year ago 1 min read

*Chasing Shadows at Dusk*

At dusk, when skies are burning low,

I chase the shadows as they grow,

They stretch and bend beneath the trees,

And dance upon the evening breeze.

The sun sinks low, a fiery crown,

While shadows crawl across the ground,

They flicker on the walls and stone,

A fleeting world, forever prone.

Through twilight’s haze, I run and reach,

For silhouettes just out of reach,

They slip away in fading light,

And vanish with the fall of night.

But still, I chase, though shadows flee,

A ghostly game of memory,

For in their flight, I find the way,

To wander through the end of day.
