A cool, red vinyl record spinning on my stereo
a time and place emerges somewhere from my long ago
Stealing me away to yesterday, into the harmonies
when I still believed in miracles, I still believed in me
Chasing those moments like a criminal, leaving clues upon the wall
Some days just get away till I can vaguely recall them at all
But the ones with you and me remain and visit from time to time
I'd love to stay right here with you, completely lost, inside my mind
When we both wore a different faces
Wanting to change the world we knew
Creating different spaces
Where there was only me and you
But time has a way of erasing
The things that really matter most
They keep us forever chasing
Our fondest memories, like ghosts

Every day, every night. So much longing both for & from what is past.
Chasing memories and lessons still to learn. Good job.
simply beautiful work. Well done.
Always chasing those memories <3 Great poem, Kelli <3 Love it <3
THese three lines threw me back to my youth, where music was such a big part but fantasy dreams about life where bigger: 'Stealing me away to yesterday, into the harmonies when I still believed in miracles, I still believed in me Chasing those moments like a criminal, leaving clues upon the wall'
