Charming, cheeky, kick and flick,
Dancing hats, umbrellas, perhaps a stick,
Such fickle feet,
A joy to meet,
The 20's sure knew how to rollick!
A/N: This is the start of a collection of poems based on dances!! I will choose the poem type and how I write it based on how the dance 'feels' to me. I felt a limerick was perfect for the Charleston! There's something a bit cheeky about a limerick! I hope you enjoyed this!
Don't forget to rollick this week!

Love this poem, the Charleston & photos.✅
I love this TWW!!! Especially based on the feeling part, I relate so hard to really feeling the music!
I feel you must be a dancer.
Lovely limerick. Let's dance!
What a wonderful idea for a series!! I enjoyed the fun and joy in this limerick :)
Charleston is a type of dance? I've never heard of it before. Loved your Limerick!
I love a Charleston. So fun. Looking forward to reading more dance-inspired poems.
This is brilliant, pal. And yes, limericks and the Charleston do seem to be good bedfellows. Same sorta sassy cheekinesss in them and jovial jokiness. Love this idea of a series inspired by dances too! Well done all round! Good to see more regular stuff from you - how's health things going (if you don't mind me asking?)
