the only constant thing

A wise man once said,

"The only constant thing in life is change"

Yet, it so frightening to perceive that that which once was, shall not forever be.

Feelings come and go, forever fleeting.

People do come by and fill our days with mirth and merry

and then they leave never to return again, sometimes too, we do the leaving behind.

Youthfulness flees

The supple skin of youth and the strength in the waist begins to fade. Deep wrinkles set in and the hairs begin to thin out. The world begins to look dim and before you know it even your pearly white teeth can no longer stand with you!

Oh woeful man! Look upon your fate and embrace it all the same !

For the gray in your hair is a sign of endurance,

the stoop in your posture is a humble plea to your maker.

Change will come as assuredly as there's night and day, and times and seasons. Embrace change then and do your outmost best in each season!
