Chameleon

By Sharieff ClarkPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

I have tried so hard to camouflage

But my disability would always sabotage

I can never get my colors right

wanted to be a sheep the closest I got was Off-White.

I use to hate their stares so I became Yellow sunlight

My love ones appreciate my glow

It took me forever to grow cause I was Green with envy

Instead of Indigo

Super shy so I choose Violet scared to turn Black cause

The pigs would think I'm violent

When I'm Brown it is frowned upon if I don't show my

True colors I feel silent.

Cover your ears I feel like yelling

My country loves spilling blood so I'm never Red

This nation will laugh at you if you are Orange

So I'm Tangerine

I use to be blue like mom jeans now I'm lavender thanks

To my queen. In a blink I turn Kirby Pink

Not a rainbow I am there at the end my disability has turned

Me into Gold. Use to feel like an alien when in reality I am a

Chameleon.
