In shadows deep, I close my eyes,

A figure there, in darkness lies,

A wavering soul, hard to discern,

The echoes of the past, they churn.

A struggle deep within my core,

To glimpse the one I saw before,

The past, a weight both fierce and grand,

Yet here I stand, as time's own sand.

Tremendous tales of days long gone,

Moments lived and battles won,

Yet in their grip, I find I'm caught,

A battle waged; a lesson taught.

Metamorphosis beckons nearby,

A transformation, crystal clear,

From chains of old, I strive to break,

The past's embrace, a firm handshake.

Through uncertainty's misty haze,

I seek to find the brighter days,

To free myself from what has been,

To birth anew, a soul unclean.

The links that bind, I must unwind,

A journey to my core, I find,

With each step forward, strength I gain,

A phoenix rising from the pain.

No map to guide, no path to follow,

I journey into tomorrow,

With hope in heart and courage high,

I'll bid the past a fond goodbye.

In every struggle, a chance to grow,

To leave behind what once did glow,

Embracing change, I find my way,

A dawn of freedom's gentle ray.
