Feeling The Color Clear

Cellophane colors me

From feeling much, viewing

The film but, estranged

To the experience.

Scratch exoticism,

Transparent barriers

Cocoon curious truths

From seeping deeper in.

But a secret switch turns

The drone of traffic, to

Magnifence, roaring

- She’s the Sea’s Lioness.

Concealed in the crevice

Where the key meets the locks

Groove, a sharp gust of wind

Dissipates the questions.

My tiny wreath still holds,

Foreign yet, belonging,

Up on a wooden frame

And shivers with desire.

I’ve been coming outside to be inspired with my poetry now that the weather is finally warming up again. It brings me such joy. I try not to overthink it, and just put my pen to paper, letting it flow… I hope you enjoy! :)
