new years day gets us going

when our eyes are still glowing

valentines are for lovers

romance under the covers

with sweet words of passion

releasing chain reactions

whispers in the shadows

music soft and mellow

then it's on to parades

on St. Patty's Day

green beer celebrations

toasting past generations

then april fools on display

as participants gather to play

icy skies turning gray

like that one easter day

the sadducees sad cabaret

pure evil set on replay

then, margaritas and limes

come around on may 5

mother's day comes with love

I remember mine with a dove

memorial day, well deserved

for all the soldiers who served

we can't forget to honor our dads

mine was the best you could have

july fourth dressed in stripes

fireworks fill up the skies

labor day in september

halloween in october

veteran's day to remember

just in time to give thanks, november

christmas comes round again

when we feel what is to be kids

with so much to glad for

why the hell do we choose war
