Carved by the gods

Trying to write poetry

Carved by the Gods

He’s calm like a still lake at dawn,

A quiet presence I lean on.

He doesn’t fill the air with empty sound,

But his actions speak, profound and unbound. The little things he does, so small yet grand,

A cup of tea, a touch of the hand.

Without a word, he says it all,

In every gesture, I feel the fall.

Through moody storms that cloud my day,

He’s the anchor that keeps me from drifting away.

Through joy, through sorrow, through love’s endless fight,

He’s the steady flame in my darkest night. His eyes they hold a secret glow,

A playful spark they never show.

Mischief dances, just out of reach,

But his heart is calm, like waves on a beach.

And that smile…..oh, that smile,

It lights up the room, makes life worthwhile.

Rare like a treasure, a fleeting gleam,

I envy the world that gets to see his dream.

I wonder sometimes, as I lie by his side,

Do I wish I were him, with all his pride?

Or am I just lucky, held in his grace,

Happy to be his, in this beautiful place? He’s handsome, sculpted like a masterpiece,

As if carved by gods who never cease.

Sometimes I wish I could wear his skin,

To be the vision where the gods begin.

But here, with him, I find my peace,

For in his love, I find release.

He is mine, and I am his,

And in that truth, I find my bliss.
