Goodbye to solitude
Follow up on fragments of a Heavy heart

In quiet corners where shadows weep,
Loneliness was my steadfast keep.
I danced with silence, night and day,
Embracing solitude’s gentle sway. Then came a dawn with voices bright,
Breaking through my endless night.
In the crowd, I felt a gentle nudge,
A world unspun, a silent grudge. Now a voice says “morning” with each rise,
A warm presence beneath my sleepy eyes.
Throughout the day, a constant check,
An unexpected comfort, a soft caress on my neck.Hands reached out where none had dared,
Hearts entwined, yet I was scared.
The echoes of my solitary song
Now feel both foreign and wrong. Each smile a beacon, every touch a sting,
A reminder of the comfort solitude did bring.
Grateful for the care, yet frustrated too,
A heart in conflict, caught in the new.So here I stand, with kindness near,
Learning to shed the solitary veneer.
To say goodbye to shadows long
A challenge in this vibrant throng.
