Carbon girl

(and cobble) poetry

Carbon girl

In a carbon world

Fiber and dead skin

Real enough

Begin

File the carbon print

Staring through the box

You made it

9-5 silicon

Fake it

Pretty in pretend

Silicon smile

Carbon frown

Why so down

Ten ninety five

Worth it

40 hours pay

50 hours perfect

Salary all the way

Paper, plastic, silicon

Painted over

Carbon day

Kaloriinn, J. Mason

the pixels form

words appear

the form of me

all you see

my existence

on screen

simple black on white

white on black

everything I lack

understanding

understood

a faceless word

in a dark room

screen

illumination

under my hood

questions

emptiness

who

and why

do I exist for an answer

is there purpose?

or do I exist because I question

is that my reason

behind blank expression

behind eyes of glass

so fragile

a soul shattered

in tatters

pieces I can't find

somewhere left behind

in dreams once had

to lullabies

in memories

no more than a haze

as days go by

a simple daze

in a time once remember

from child's view

before worlds

shattered anew...

About the Creator

Kaloriinn Mason

I have been writing for years.. I don't have much posted here, considering everything I have or have lost over time. I have been writing songs and turning old works into music lately
