Drowning, take 2

DROWNING TAKE 2:

faces faces all around and in this sea here I drown I reach out scream out searching, reaching for a hand an island a bar of sand somewhere

safe to stand a place to rest my feat. naught do i see in this vacant sea of faces that wash me away sinking deeper I drown anyway beneath the stares so deep.

I grow so cold, a hand appears, it isn't real, isn't there, a lie of despair, desperation searching for hope. A face that wants me to to care, to be fair, be there, lies, lies to me, while holding me just beneath the surface, returning me to the cold depths once through. Gasping for air, darkened embrace, it seeps inside the, chilling depths, cool water seeping in, now warm. Everything bleeds away now, fades to grey, all the colors gone in a wash, nothing remains, truest fiction, takes my place. Another empty shell, another fake, another blank stare face. Dead inside i float and join the race, and pointlessly fill just another space.
