Like arms wrapping me in a hug
Broken hearted
Listen to an upbeat song,
Tears falling
Listen, not for long.

The song needs to be fast paced,
Dance, prance, have fun
A beat to make your heart race.

Lonely and sad
Sing along to music from your past,
Memories to take you back
To when you’re happy last.

Tired and stressed
A tune to help you relax,
Mellow out, wind down
Soothing, slow tracks.

Scared and alone
A song that’s heavy bass,
To help you feel alive
Giving yourself space.
***
Reminiscing
Music brings back the joy,
The fun times, the memories
Of falling in love with a boy.
***
Grieving
Listen to the beats you shared,
Each song played loud
You’ll feel like they’re still there.
***
Need to escape reality
Warp that tune as loud as it’ll go,
Listen to each instrument
Relax and go with the flow.
***
Can’t bear the silence
Play your favourite tune,
Wallow in the beats
Dance through the afternoon.
***
Music is my go too
When it’s comfort I need,
There’s a song for every emotion
That I’ll guarantee!

Music is my safety blanket
Like arms wrapping me in a hug,
My safety net, my comfort
My emotional drug.
