Californicating Colorado

A Tongue in Cheek Review

By Earl W. PearlPublished 3 years ago Updated 3 years ago 1 min read

Californians, this poem is for you

Coloradans despise what you do

You move HERE in despair

Compare us to THERE

Please tell us you’re just passing through

When you came for a visit, you stayed

You survived even after we sprayed

Like an unwelcome fool

That pees in our pool

You’re that blemish refusing to fade

You say that your taxes were bad

But you voted those taxes you had

Then when things got severe

You brought your views here

Coloradan’s were bound to be mad

So when choosing a State, take a map

You’ll see Texas has beaches on tap

You can sell in a flash

Go there with your cash

Let those Texans put up with your crap
