RUN:

You put a brick inside my mouth and threw me into the ground, hoping I would never come around again. You put a sickle around my neck and prayed to god that I stay dead. But I'm awake and I remember everything.

RESIDUE:

When I'm still on your mind, an indelible stain like blood that won't wash, a relentless refrain, and you push me down hard with your pills and caffeine, do I stay?

You're splitting the seams of my filigree. Still in the dreams that I tell, nobody. I chase the day, anyway. Every second, too late.

So go hide the answers your questions don't want, from yourself for a spell, with some sidetracking fun. I am aware now of all that we've done. Why aren't you?
