You can ban the word

But a felon

By any other name

Still smells of musk.

—————-

Fact: the rumor of an actual presidential decree that the word ‘felon’ is banned is a LIE.

The ‘proof’ is a spoof from a satire account on TwitterX.

Author screen grab from Snopes

Fact: the realization that very few people questioned if the current president would do it is a sorrowful thing.

I still like my poem.

Flipping heck. That is damning, isn't it? I like your poem too.

I like your poem too! I agree that it is telling that so few people questioned it. Great post!

Musk and Trump are capable of doing anything nowadays. Some may see it as humour, but it's kinda scary knowing what power and influence they hold at the moment.

  • Lol, people actually thought it was true? Loved your poem!

  • More obvious is the very fact that if he banned the word he'd have no way of talking about those he hates. I might add, "And not the good kind of musk but the rank & malodorous."

Love the poem Thank you for clarifying to everyone that the 'decree' was a spoof. IK I won't have to fact-check you <3

Great work...and it wouldn't surprise me if he did go this far.

You do have a point here. I bet 'the felon' when on the outside looking at the commoners would still use that word. Good job.
