Butterfly vs Moth

A Poem about tranformation

By Olivia AlicePublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Butterfly vs Moth

I am a butterfly

You are a moth

My wings were earned

Yours were given to you

I have seen light in the dark

You my friend wouldn’t have been on Noahs ark

Why?

Because the moment you see light you fly

No thought

No tact

No grace

Just taking advantage of a safe space

But what you don’t know about light is it can be deceiving

It all depends on what you believe in

Us butterflies we know we are free

We know who we are, what we can be

But you, you can come from dust, debris

And everything I do not want to be

I float I flutter

I spread joy like no other

Butterfly

Butterfly

Be free.
