Burst with Napalm

The freedom to speak is the cornerstone of a constitutional republic like America.

By Skyler SaundersPublished 7 years ago 1 min read
Without freedom of speech, what liberties are possible?

Freedom of speech is the round.

The firearm that sends a word

Is the pistol which weighs more than a pound.

It is a weapon once read or heard.

On the tip of each and every tongue

Is a missile and also a bomb.

When the guns are beginning to be sung,

The explosives burst with napalm.

Pens and paint brushes

Strike out against the page.

Microphones make rushes

And fill speaker systems with rage.

The blood drawn from knives

Is the ink that stains

When ideas cost lives

And a hero steps in and sustains.

To speak out for the good few

Is what every speaker should do.
