Burning Paradise V
If this Burning Paradise isn't going anywhere, I suppose neither am I...
Every day this Burning Paradise rages on...
the rageful frustration that results from living in an unchanging world of hurt‐
Only a truly livid distaste of life can result from such a life without any form of...
Passion
Enjoyment
Love
Hope
Peace
None of these I gave up...
they were taken from me‐
Only a very hurtful hatred can come from being a victim of these thieves...
Despair
Slumber's Absence
Void's Company
Angst
and even Desire—
Those are the true authors of these Tales of Torment‐
I am only the hand that tells of their tales,
a scribe sentenced to describing the worst torture‐
and for what?...
What the hell is any of this worth?
Forgive my rage, or not...
such is what comes from being a resident in this Burning Paradise‐
and not by choice am I confined in this waking nightmare...
desperately, with both my voice and my feet have I tried to break free from this place of turmoil...
but of course, to no avail‐
So the rage that is this, Burning Paradise, makes its way to the page once again‐
Never, did I actually want to give this hell a spotlight and place on stage,
but this inextinguishable flame demanded that it be seen‐
As I can't help but believe I've been doomed for the remainder of the time I'll be alive...
to carry what feels like a forsaken cross
on this fruitless journey of suffering...
eternally turning turmoil within me,
giving route to the disgust in my heart to make its way to this page...
truly a timeless torture, this Burning Paradise is‐
I could go on for as long as this fire still burns, but...
I'll save my reader from the heartache that will certainly come if I drag this on any longer—

About the Creator
Josh Morgan
Personally, writing began as a creative outlet, to be a means of processing and venting emotion, but it has become so much more. Something I want not to be just relatable, enjoyable and a good read, but to reach someone who is in need.
