Building The Rainbow
Creating a new and colourful me

During my exhausted days
Groundhog days
Overwhelmed days
Tear stained days
Dull and unwashed days
I was reminded…
.
To be the flowing river
Not the steadfast rock
To hold my ship steady
Even when my arms were weak
To push through the muddy bog
And walk on warm cushion grass.
.
To cleanse
All that needed cleansing
To release
All that needed releasing
To forgive
All those who needed forgiving.
.
To heal the wounds
And honour the scars
To arrive at the bottom
Of rock bottom
Was an invitation
To climb to the top.
.
The Divine was calling
My spirit back, wanting to fill
My soul with all the
Rays of the rainbow
So that I could release
The woman I used to be.
.
I could start over
From the inside out
Cell by cell
Thought by thought
Breath by breath
One day at a time.
.
Red, orange, yellow
Would set my new foundation
Green and blue
Would re-energise my heart and soul
Indigo and violet
Would connect me to all beyond my ego.
.
I have since left the cocoon
With so much still to learn
But with authentic passion
Flowing through my veins
I am safe and wrapped
In all the colours of the Universe.
